Made with intention. Backed by confidence.
At AKINNA, enduring quality begins with considered design, carefully selected materials and skilled craftsmanship. Our limited warranty covers eligible manufacturing defects under normal intended use. Coverage varies by product and component as outlined below.
1. Warranty coverage
Leather handbags and business bags: Five (5) years from the original purchase date for manufacturing defects in leather, stitching, seams, lining attachment and structural craftsmanship. Integrated metal hardware, including zippers, clasps, buckles, rings, locks and metal strap attachments, carries a one (1) year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
Leather wallets: Five (5) years from the original purchase date for manufacturing defects in leather, stitching and structural craftsmanship. Integrated metal hardware carries a one (1) year limited warranty.
Detachable metal chains and charms: One (1) year from the original purchase date for manufacturing defects in links, clasps, joints and attachment mechanisms.
Where a defect in an attachment results from faulty stitching or structural craftsmanship rather than the metal component itself, it will be assessed under the applicable five-year craftsmanship warranty.
2. What is covered
Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that arise under normal intended use, subject to the relevant component warranty period. Coverage is determined after assessment of the product and the reported concern.
3. What is not covered
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear; scratches, scuffs and abrasions; natural leather grain variations or patina; ordinary softening or colour changes with use; colour transfer; accidental damage; misuse or overloading; improper storage or care; or damage caused by water, prolonged sunlight, heat, perfumes, cleaning agents or other chemicals. Ordinary plating and finish deterioration caused by friction, moisture or use is excluded; an apparent manufacturing defect in plating reported within the applicable warranty period will nevertheless be assessed on its merits.
4. How to request warranty assistance
Contact AKINNA through the contact details provided on our website, sharing your order number or proof of purchase, a description of the concern and clear photographs. Our team may request additional information or an inspection to determine whether the issue is covered.
5. Resolution
For eligible warranty claims, AKINNA will assess an appropriate repair or replacement, subject to product and component availability. If neither remedy is reasonably available, we will discuss an appropriate alternative in accordance with applicable law. Any shipping or handling arrangements will be communicated before proceeding; nothing in this policy limits remedies required by law.
6. Existing purchases and consumer rights
These component-specific terms apply to purchases made on or after the date they are published. For earlier purchases, AKINNA will honour the warranty terms communicated at the time of purchase, including any broader existing coverage. This limited warranty is in addition to, and does not restrict, applicable statutory consumer rights.
7. Care and longevity
Careful handling, appropriate storage and keeping leather and metal components away from excessive moisture, heat and chemicals will help preserve your AKINNA piece. Refer to the care guidance provided with your product.
Designed to be carried. Crafted to endure.
